Hey. Glad you’re here. Below are some of the questions I get asked often, so check them out as you might have the same questions yourself!

What IS your style?
Modern, Timeless, Fun & Creative. I strive to deliver pictures that fit those 4 words.
How do you approach my wedding?
My goal is to first document the events of the day the way I see it, and present these moments in a way that is timeless and fun for you. I also strive to be creative and always challenge myself in every scene to find an interesting composition or angle. Lastly and most importantly, my goal is to help you to have the most awesome time possible and not worry about pictures. Because that’s my job.
How do you work on my wedding day?
I am typically pretty hands-off and unobtrusive during the ceremony and reception. During getting ready, I would sometimes ask you to move to a certain spot for better lighting, but I would usually let things happen naturally and not pose people. I take casually posed fun portraits of the bridal parties, and my favorite time of the day is shooting casually posed images of the bride and groom together.
I love to promote the ‘first look’ to my clients. This is a very special and intimate time set aside before the ceremony for the groom to see the bride in her dress for the first time without anyone else watching. Just the two of you. I have found throughout the years that this have given my clients some of the most cherished images from the day.
I generally will not interrupt your guests at the reception for a pose, preferring instead to capture them smiling, laughing, and having a great time. I hang around the dance floor a lot and you’ll probably see me dance awkwardly to the music throughout the evening.
Would you take posed family pictures at all?
Yes! Before the wedding I typically ask you for a list of the family pictures you want me to take. I try to do these portrait sessions in a very relaxed and swift manner so everyone can go to h d’oeuvres and have a good time.
Would you mind if I give you a list of must have shots shots?
Other than the family groupings mentioned above, a ‘must-have shots’ list is not necessary. Having me working from a checklist is very much counterproductive to the work you’ve seen on my website. After all, typically I would be taking all these shots anyway.
However, if there are some specific important shots that you would want to make sure I don’t miss, it’s a good idea to communicate these items with me before hand, and I’ll be more than happy to accommodate your requests.
where DO you live? you travel? right?
I live in Lancaster county, PA, but I’m willing to travel wherever in the US! Travel cost for certain cities are available in the pricing sheet and custom quotes can be done for any city. Travel cost is all-inclusive, and covers gas, airline ticket, meals, lodging, and any other travel expenses.
Are you the only photographer, or do you have a second shooter?
Lower end packages comes with coverage by 1 photographer (me.) Higher end packages include coverage by 2 photographers.
How long does it take before I get my images?
Your pictures will be posted online within 4 weeks of your wedding date. You will most likely get a blog post with my favorite pictures of the day as well. Upon your approval of album designs, most albums are ready for delivery within 12 weeks.
How many pictures will I get?
I don’t limit the number of shots I take. I shoot until I’m done. However the number of photographs taken obviously will depend on many things – the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events. You will most definitely get at least 500 images, often many more.
Do I get to keep the negatives?
You will receive a DVD containing the digital files of which you are free to do whatever you please. I retain the copyright to the images and the right to use them for promotional purposes, competition, professional review, and so on.
Do you come to the rehearsal?
Rehearsal dinner coverage is available should you choose to have one. Otherwise I won’t be attending the rehearsal.
How does the album design process work?
After the online proofs are posted, I will begin your album design process immediately. I’ll pick what I think are the best images, and come up with a ‘first-pass’ design for you to review. You can then make any changes you’d like – layout, pictures, whatever. After everything looks great to you then the album design will be submitted to my vendor to be printed.
What will my album look like?
I use one of the finest album vendors in the whole UNIVERSE! Your albums will be awesome, modern, and timeless. Please inquire me for samples.
What is the online gallery?
The online gallery is a private, password protected section on my website where all of your wedding photographs will be placed online for you and your family and friends to view.

Do you have insurance?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Top of the line professional Nikon equipment and backups.
How long have you been shooting weddings?
I’ve been shooting weddings since 2007.
Can you hold the date for me?
I’m sorry, but I can’t hold the date without a retainer and a signed contract. Bookings are on a first come/first served basis.
When is my payment due?
The retainer fee (30% of the total fee) is due with the signed contract to reserve the date. The remaining amount is due 30 days before the wedding.
Can we pay you part of the amount after the wedding?
No, I’m sorry, but the remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding.
If I have to cancel my wedding, can i have my retainer back?
The retainer fee guarantees that your wedding date is held exclusively. I will turn down all other requests for that date. Therefore, the retainer fee is non-refundable. However, if in the future I am able to successfully rebook your date, I will gladly refund your retainer.
If we run overtime, will you stay?
Of course. I do have an overtime rate and it goes into effect only with your permission and approval that I continue coverage. I will then bill you for those hours after you return from your honeymoon.
Do we need to feed you at the reception?
That would be really nice.
