Katherine and Matt at Lancaster County Park

Katherine and Matt at Lancaster County Park

February 4, 2012

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Katherine and Matt for the first time – they drove up all the way from Maryland to go to Lady Antebellum’s concert this weekend, so we decided to do their engagement session as well. Katherine and Matt met through double blind date 6 ago, and they have been together ever since! What’s great is that apparently the other couple in that blind date is also engaged now! Talk about a blind date success story! ;-)

Terica and Dan in Lancaster

Terica and Dan in Lancaster

February 1, 2012

When I first met Terica, we joked that we might have to do our engagement session in the snow because January was when Dan was scheduled to be home from overseas. I think I laughed when I saw the forecast for our scheduled shoot when I saw that it was indeed going to be one of the very few snow we’ve had this winter so far! I called Terica and she was still up for it, so off we went!

Robyn + Dave in Reading

Robyn + Dave in Reading

November 19, 2011

I always encourage my clients to make the E-Session about them. Both Robyn and Dave love Chocolate. They also love their puppy Hoagie. So for their E-Session they incorporate both. The first location was their favorite place, the awesome Haute Chocolate Cafe. That place has everything Chocolate known to man, and I’d be lying if I wasn’t distracted by all the yummy goodness. After that we went to a park nearby and got some shots with Hoagie as well. Check out that awesome sunset sky by the way!

Sara + Erik at Rittenhouse Square

November 19, 2011

If someone would ask me who are my favorite clients, I would answer people who are 1) Easy going, 2) Fun, and 3) So hopelessly in love with each other. Well, it also helps if they love Indonesian food as well. Sara and Erik fit these three things to a T, frequently eat at my favorite Indonesian restaurant in Philly, and I had so much fun shooting their engagement session!

The Kasidis at Central Park

The Kasidis at Central Park

November 6, 2011

Doing this photography thing has made my life so much richer. It has brought me to places I would’ve never been otherwise, and above all it has connected me with some really awesome couples and families I would have never met otherwise. The Kasidis is one of such families. Through some really odd connections, the Kasidis contacted me about doing a session in Central Park, NY. ( What was even more amazing was that we later found out that we have a close mutual friend. ) We set our date, planned for the shoot, and made our travel arrangements. Several days before the shoot I was stunned with the weather forecast: 6-10 inches of snow. In October. Say what???

Today’s senior is Youbin Lee, who came all the way from Korea to study here in Pennsylvania! Youbin stays with Ellie Brooke, whom I shot last year. We hung around Downtown Lancaster on probably one of the few remaining warm days of the year. Thanks for shooting with me, Youbin! Good luck with your college application!

August 18, 2011

The Garbers and our family has been intertwined for the last several years. Before we got married, my wife was working for the Garbers (they own a transportation company and was living with the Garbers’ parents  for a few years too. ) They are basically like our own extended family and we are so, so very honored to have known such a gracious and God-honoring family.
