Lancaster Portraits Photography: The Lioes

May 25, 2013

What fun it was to be able to shoot for the Lioes! Anton and Joanne have been close friends to our family for a number of years ever since we were all young immature college kids.. and it’s been awesome to have them nearby. We took some time on a beautiful spring day to celebrate Mika’s first birthday with a photoshoot and here are some of my favorites. Special thanks to my good friend Timo for carrying the lights around that day!

Lancaster Engagement Photography: Cassie + Patrick

Lancaster Engagement Photography: Cassie + Patrick

May 19, 2013

Sometimes life works in a really funny way, like how you can meet the love of your life through Craigslist. No, really. When Cassie met with Patrick on a first date over some Pabst after she came across his ‘musings’ on Craigslist, she thought he was kinda cute. And the rest is history. Cassie and Patrick really love Pabst. And the outdoors. And their pup Yukon. So for our engagement session in Lancaster we brought out all of that and had some fun in Lancaster County Park. We might even have gotten a little wet too.

Inner Harbor Engagement Session: Trevor + Andrea

Inner Harbor Engagement Session: Trevor + Andrea

May 6, 2013

One of our favorite things about what we do is definitely hearing how our clients met. There are so many really incredible, funny, and amazing stories that we hear over the years and we love it! Trevor and Andrea met over…. Kickball. And Flip Cup. And since they’re awesome like that, we incorporated some of that into our session in Baltimore. We hung out around the Cylburn Arboretum and then head out to the Inner Harbor to finish the day. Here are some of my favorites.. enjoy!

Lancaster Wedding Photography: Kelsey + Seth

May 2, 2013

As I stared into my monitor screen tonight, trying to find the right words to say about this wedding and why it was so special, I couldn’t helped but to be pulled into all kinds of different directions. I guess I could say that Seth & Kelsey’s wedding day couldn’t have had a more beautiful spring weather, but I won’t. I could also say that these are some of the nicest people I’ve met at a wedding, but that would be selling them short. I definitely could say how beautiful and joyful Kelsey looked all day long, and that she’s seriously one of the happiest bride I have ever had the privilege to shoot for, but that’s not even the main thing.

Lititz Park Family Portraits: The Boediartos

March 30, 2013

A couple of months ago we were driving through Connecticut after I shot a wedding up in Boston. As I saw the sign ‘Danbury’, I told my wife ‘Hey. this is where my cousin lives. We should totally stop by!’ We have not seen them for years – in fact, we have never met his wife Bree, or his daughter Senora. That night we visited their church and had a great talk with each other, wondering why we didn’t seen each other for so long. And plans were made for us to see each other again. That was this past weekend.

Tidal Basin Engagement Session: Ashley + Eddie

March 24, 2013

Spring is upon us! The days are getting longer! The squirrels come out and play! There’s just something awesome about that first warm weekend of spring after a miserable winter.. so needless to say we really enjoyed our quick trip down to DC to shoot Ashley + Eddie’s engagement session. We started at the Tidal Basin / Jefferson Memorial and walked our way around the National Mall. Ashley and Eddie is probably on the running for my most laid back couple this year.. they’re so easy to work with and we hit it off right away!

The Best of 2012: Weddings & Engagements

December 28, 2012

2012 was simply a blur for us at Far/Wid Photography. Before we realize it, we just wrapped out our last wedding for the year, which was Annie & David at Antrim 1844. We have often said without the slightest exaggeration that we’re so blessed to have such awesome clients, and we want to let you know again that we do not take your trust for granted. It means so much that you have chosen us to be the one capturing your special day, and we sincerely hope that we have far exceeded your expectations.

Antrim 1844 Wedding: Annie + David

December 27, 2012

Anyone who’ve met Annie & David will agree that these two are simply perfect for each other. So it wasn’t at all surprising that their wedding was a total celebration of their love to each other, filled with love and laughter from family and friends. Antrim 1844 looked amazing, and I couldn’t remember having a friendlier group of wedding guests, which is truly a testament of who Annie & David are. Here are some of my favorites.

Lancaster Doubletree Wedding: Brandon + Hannah

Lancaster Doubletree Wedding: Brandon + Hannah

December 16, 2012

Brandon and Hannah is probably one of the most fun couple I’ve ever had the privilege to shoot. They were full of awesome ideas (we love it when our clients give us ideas!,) so laid back and awesome to work with, joked around pretty much all day long, and they are so madly in love with each other. I love everything about this wedding, not the least due to the fact that Brandon is a good friend of mine! There were so many moments throughout the day that reminded me once again why I love doing what I do, and for that, Brandon & Hannah, THANK YOU!
