Hi there, I’m Farid Widjaya ( pronounced Fa-reed Weed-ja-ya )! Thanks for visiting my new blogsite! That’s right, it’s a blog that’s also a website! I was getting tired with my blog posts being ignored when people visited my website, so I’m now making my blog the centerpiece of the site itself! Ha! How do you like me now, blog-ignorers!
I am a wedding photographer based in Marietta, PA who specializes in capturing relaxed portraits, candid moments, and incredible details of your special day. I’m really relaxed-yet-energetic, and I try to work fast-yet-stealthy, like a ninja, pretty much! I love spending time in getting to know who you are as a couple, and make it my personal mission to give you the most awesome wedding photos. Just think of me as your best buddy who comes to your wedding to capture all these great images while you relax, be all emotional, and enjoy your day!
My interest in photography has long been developed since I was a little child. I was 10 years old when I shot my first event – my younger brothers’ birthday party! There I was, proudly carrying my dad’s film camera. I think I got over excited and ended up with way too many pictures of the emcee, but nevertheless that day a photographer was born.
I first started shooting weddings in 2007. Since then I have done numerous weddings – formal, informal, indoor, outdoor, afternoon, evenings, traditional, and modern, and through it all there remains a common thread: A love story between two people being celebrated in a beautiful union. And I LOVE capturing it.
This blog contains my photography work and my personal life. It features images from my latest weddings and engagements, the places I travel, the things I love and hate, the stories of my family & friends, and most definitely images of the-cutest-son-ever Jackson.
So click around and explore! If you are interested in having me as your photographer, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line through the contact page. I would love to get in contact with you! If you are not interested in having me as your photographer, I would still appreciate your support & friendship anyway! So follow me on twitter. Become a fan on Facebook. Subscribe to the blog via RSS to get the latest scoop. Comment on my blog posts. That’ll be like, so awesome.
Thanks for visiting!
