Lancaster Wedding Photography: Kelsey + Seth02 May 2013, Posted by Weddings in
As I stared into my monitor screen tonight, trying to find the right words to say about this wedding and why it was so special, I couldn’t helped but to be pulled into all kinds of different directions. I guess I could say that Seth & Kelsey’s wedding day couldn’t have had a more beautiful spring weather, but I won’t. I could also say that these are some of the nicest people I’ve met at a wedding, but that would be selling them short. I definitely could say how beautiful and joyful Kelsey looked all day long, and that she’s seriously one of the happiest bride I have ever had the privilege to shoot for, but that’s not even the main thing.
And then I thought about the saying, ‘Life comes full circle’ and I smiled. You see, the reason I even have a camera in my hand in the first place was because Kelsey’s dad, Roger, lent me his Pentax 7 years ago so I could take some self portraits of me and my fiancee back then. The rest, as they say, is history, and to be able to stand here many years later and shoot his daughter’s wedding, well that’s just incredible.
But the number one reason why this is such a special wedding for me has to be because these people are family to me. They have taken us into theirs with open arms and throughout the years I have grown to really love and appreciate the Garbers, all 73 of them. This is why it was my absolute joy and honor to be a part of this very special celebration. Seth & Kelsey, you guys were an absolute delight of a couple to shoot for. And as always, special thanks goes to my good friend Jim Heine for coming down and rocking this wedding with me. Many of his shots are featured in this blog.
