New York Wedding Photography: Charity + Dennis

I am so glad to have met Charity through my brother. We only knew each other informally, and when my brother passed away Charity shared with me a conversation she had with my brother just a few days before. How my brother encouraged her through his faith in God, believing that God was taking care of everything . Sharing that story with me meant so much as I was grieving for my own loss.

Several months later Charity got engaged to Dennis, and she called and asked me to shoot her wedding in New York city. Even more fun that my wife and son Jackson were invited too! So off we went to New York that weekend.

On Charity’s wedding day, we were greeted with pouring rain as we stepped out New York’s Subway station. Let me tell you this, New York city’s subway system is NOT baby stroller friendly. Never mind the fact that I was carrying several bags of photo equipment, in the midst of pouring rain… it wasn’t pretty.

We arrived at the hotel drenched.. but all my lenses were dry. Yay! Shortly after that the rain began to stop… and it turned out to be a beautiful day by the time the wedding started.

Here are some of my favorites of that day. I posted more pictures than the usual.. I hope you guys don’t mind!

Before the ceremony we have a traditional Chinese ‘Tea Ceremony’..

Afterwards Charity changed into her wedding dress..

We then went to the top of the building for our first look… by this time the sky is clear blue!

Charity, workin’ it.

The ceremony started…. are these two CUTE or what???

Charity & Dennis surprised everyone during their first dance as they bust out some moves to ‘Jai-Ho’!

Charity & Dennis, thank you SO much for having us at your special day. I am so happy for you both, and may God bless your new life together abundantly!
