From the first time I met Tom & Michelle, I could tell immediately that they just adore each other. They spoke of how they met each other, became friends, and lovers. They shared their passion for the outdoors and nature (they’re going to South Africa for their honeymoon!! I’m jealous!! ) They wanted their wedding pictures to be different, not the usual run-of-the-mill pictures they see all the time. They stressed how important the wedding images are for them. We then scheduled an engagement session because they wanted to have a picture to be displayed on their wedding day (a great idea, by the way,) and we picked Easter Sunday to hang out @ Fells Point to do just that.
“We might need you to coach us a little,” she said. I nodded as I directed them to our first spot and gave them a simple instruction.. “Just relax.” And it happened..
In fact, I’m pretty sure they didn’t need any coaching at all..
We saw these colorful canoes being piled by the waters..
And they jumped down to the wobbly plank of wood where these canoes are… all for the sake of getting some cool pictures!
And getting some cool pictures we did! This is one of my favorite of the whole day..
In fact, I’m pretty sure they practiced these poses! Either that or they are just natural…
We strolled around the block and found this nice patch of grass..
A stroll down the pier..
Oooohhh…. cherry blossoms!
The light from the sun finally warmed up a little bit (and not being as harsh as before,) and it was actually becoming kinda cloudy.. so we finally took some shots at Fells Point.
They made me nervous when they did the pose on the right… ha!
A candid ‘paparazzi’ style picture..
We then walked over to the area where the shops are and took some more shots..
And then the sun peaked through the alley-way…
I then came across this super-duper awesome GREEN wall ( my favorite color!!!! ) I mean, how can you not love this????
Tom & Michelle wanted to get some more shots at a different location, so we wrapped it up @ Fells Point. But before we left they bought me the most awesome Limeade I’ve ever had in my life. (The fact that I was so thirsty probably helped swayed my opinion too.) It’s the limeade/lemonade stand in the middle of the island right next to Fells Point. Make sure you have some when you’re in the area!!
During the short drive I realized that Tom ALWAYS opens the door for Michelle. Man, way to set the standard high.. I’m shamed. Anywayss.. we drove across town to get some pictures at this park with the view of the city… and what an awesome view it was!
Right next to the park was this art museum with some funky decorations on the outside.. Art museums & Engagement pictures often go well together. It sure did for us!
I mean, where else can you take pictures of locations like these???
Another one of my favorite..
And we wrapped up the day by one last picture at the wall of the museum that has ‘LOVE’ written on it. Unfortunately 1) The lights which were supposed to be on, weren’t, and 2) the wall is so darn big that I couldn’t fit the whole thing into the frame.. but it was still cool nonetheless!
Tom & Michelle, I had a lot of fun hanging out with you guys! Have fun picking the ONE picture you really really like (ha! I have a feeling it’s going to be a little difficult.., ) and I’ll see you in a month!

We had such a good time hanging out with you and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The pictures are breathtaking. You did such a GREAT job. We’re having a really hard time picking just one but we’re already looking forward to seeing you again next month. Thank you sooo much!
