Today was the first day in many, many weekends that it didn’t rain all day (and we even almost got rained out as well.) Originally we had planned to get some family portraits and couples’ portraits at Lancaster County Park, but after seeing how dark the cloud was we decided to cancel the planned original shoot and did a quick shoot before lunch @ Jim & Martha’s home in Mount Joy. ( Sorry Mot, I promise we’ll do a shoot for you soon! )
First we did Monique & Lapming’s unofficial engagement portraits. Monique went to college with me & Winny and now she works in Maryland, where she met Lapming and was promptly swept off her feet.
At first Monique complained that ‘they don’t know how to pose’…. but I think they did just fine!

We found this cool tree in front of the house that we used for most of the shoot..

Lapming is serious about doing the jump.

… and he’s also a funny guy…

.. and romantic as well…

We then moved to the backyard, which had several cool locations to shoot as well:

And we ended the shoot with a kiss.

After that, it was my brother’s turn to get some (pre-engagement???) pictures taken.

I’ve always wanted to shoot something like this. This is harder than I thought!

Jim & Martha’s home has this really cool spot that I couldn’t pass up..

And finally a close-up of Yusnan & Mega..

Now comes the hard part. We wanted to take our own family pictures.. and boy that was hard. Jackson is now 1 week away from being 3 months old and he has been a real absolute joy for us, but he does get grumpy from time to time. We cut his feeding a little short for this shoot and boy he wasn’t happy about that!
Winny looking gorgeous, but Jackson is not happy.

And I tried to cheer him up!

And fail, for the most part.

And then it’s Winny’s turn to cheer him up..

After all else fails, we went trough some more shots anyway..

But look, he’s happier a few minutes later (during lunch!)
